Recently, my husband and I have established a funny title for what makes our triplets happy. It has been dubbed the three b's for bottle, butt change, and bed.
It's a bit of a nightly routine though not always in that order. Bed is usually last but sometimes the butt's get changed before the bottle or vice versa. So long as it keeps the babies happy, then that's what matters.
I never truly understood the appeal of warm milk, but it seems to still work for my triplets. I've tried a few times to give them cold milk and they do not like it. Plus, having the warm bottle and a nice clean diaper right before bed helps to get them to sleep.
The issue of sleep is a whole other post though.
There are a lot of ways people can get into a nighttime routine with their young and this is the best my husband and I have found so far with triplets. It's not a finite plan and a lot of the times, one or two of them decide they just do not want to go down. A constant struggle which I'm sure is felt by all mothers no matter how many kids you have or how many you had at one time.
