I have always had a dream of a large library, books stacked ceiling to floor, bookcases strewn through the room, a big comfy chair, a fireplace and a big bay window. But, the reality of attaining this is far-off. And I have decided that it would be okay to build a virtual library as well.
I am usually one who likes to have that hard copy and be able to smell the essence of the book, but lately, I have been feeling lax in my libraries. Finding comfort in getting books through my Amazon Kindle has helped this and has given me a new drive for my library dreams.
The tweak to these dreams is to have a library (maybe not quite as elaborate) filled with those books I will consistently be re-reading: Harry Potter, Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Tad Williams, ect. And then, I can quench my need to have new books with my kindle by getting books that interest me but I may or may not re-read. That way, I can also appease my husband by not having such a grandiose library. I think it's a win-win. Besides, if it makes me happy it must be, right?
