My husband made a good retort last night about how I was focused a bit too much on my second novel instead of continuing to gain interest in my first novel: Volkenheim. I am a hardcore procrastinator (not a good thing I know) and so I find myself writing on 2-3 books at one time. With the publishing of my first book, I got a drive to keep pressing forward with the second book. However, my husband is right, if I don't keep promoting my first book people probably won't want to read the second. 'People like to start at the beginning' is what he said. And he's right.
So, here is my recognition of that fact and my resolve to continue to promote Volkenheim. Cheers!
