Many of you may recall this name from Volkenheim. Kamal is a White Tiger granted transformation magic to become human if he wishes. Kamal comes into the picture when Dante fled his family after losing his soul mate for the fourth time. It was thanks to Kamal that Dante did not seclude himself forever, among other unfortunate things. They spent 400 years together molding their bond and traveling through the forests. Kamal is also responsible for convincing Dante to return to his family.
Kamal is a very protective animal and is very loyal to the Volkenheim members. However, his loyalty remains strongest to Dante. If anyone should try to harm any of them it's not a pretty picture. I'm not sure if I really laid out large an animal Kamal is. In real life, White Tigers can get up 3 meters in length, or about 9 feet (including the tail) and can weight between 700-1000 pounds. Normally the females are smaller and lighter. Since we are dealing with a male, he is on the heavier side. However, within my world, Kamal is almost double this. He is about 16 feet in length and weighs almost 2000 pounds. He is still very fast, don't get me wrong. As such, when he transforms into a human he is only a couple inches shy of the brothers height to accommodate this.
Kamal is shown in the first book, and more in the second, how volatile his temper can be. I make Kamal quick to come to conclusions to try and explore his animal nature. He also is known for growling a lot, showing off his teeth, and lounging around stalking the brothers. While he mainly keeps to Dante, if he senses something with on of the others or with the wives he will stalk them trying to figure it out. Like an animal spy. Haha.
Overall, he is a very easy going personality. He loves to joke and play, but most of all sleep. Hope y'all have enjoyed this insight into Kamal. I might do another piece on him later after more books come out and Kamal is more present in them. (whoops, spoiler alert!) Haha. Well, it's not that big of a surprise. Look forward to seeing more of Kamal though. Cheers!
